Etruria 4
The dream has gone but the baby is real

In 1961 Tony Richardson directed the film version with Rita Tushingham and Murray Melvin.
It is one of my favourite "kitchen sink" plays/films, another is look Back in Anger by John Osborne. This film A Taste of Honey however has it all, hardship, tenderness, sorrow, hope and making the impossible happen then having it all undone and all this in Black and White!
My favourite scene is the two of them leaping, in silhouette, up in the air calling out "We're unique!" under a railway arch. Gorgeous and so touching.
Morrisey is a big fan of Shelagh Delaney by the way, check out some of his album covers.
Breakfast on Pluto

I enjoyed the music from the 60's and 70's in the film most of all. Some real classics like Chirpy Chirpy Cheep! Robins play a part in the film also! It seemed to be driven by the score really.
Cheesy in filmic terms. Like the title actually!
I snuck a photo of Brian Jones in there as well.
