Time for Tea
I have one great weakness, quite apart from chocolate of course, and that is hot tea!
It is always Teatime, Tea and Sympathy, Tea for Two, Salon de The' around here. "Put the kettle on!" is a mantra for me.
A hot cuppa is always needed and then of course I have a passion for tea paraphernalia, an unbridled collecting of tea pots, tea cosies, tea this and tea that.
There are so many kinds of tea, you could keep trying them for a life time and equally many ways of drinking tea. When I travel I quickly try to grasp the tea culture of a new country and immerse myself.
Drinking tea in small glasses on the ferries on the Bosphorous in Istanbul was some of the most memorable tea drinking I've had, or drinking Moroccan mint tea also in small decorated glasses at the Mosque in Paris.
Coca leaf tea in Cuzco anyone?

James Lee Byars
Happy Birthday to a fascinating human being and artist.
Again I was lucky to have met him. I have been blessed in this life to have met some remarkable people.
Elka Spoerri stands out, as does Maud Morgan, Marianne Hauser, Stanley Kunitz, Arturo Vivante, Louise Bourgeois, Russell Epprecht, Marty Hall, Paul Martin, Lamar Peterson, Victoria Neel, Kristin Linklater, and they have all had an impact upon my life.
There are of course many more and I shall write about them separately, however they are also personal and they know who they are .
