Google

Google is a wonder. I have re-connected with old long lost friends and found new ones!
Though we are a huge planet with billions of people through google you can find those who may be part of "your tribe" and make a web of connection across the world. It is amazing. I just found the work of a Tara Bradford, a photographer, through a coincidence.
Thank you to those who have left comments. IT MEANS A LOT TO ME.
If you wish to correspond please indicate that and I will write back.
Now that google has become a verb that alone is an indication of how much it has had an effect on our culture and our ability to find out information for ourselves.
Google it just a little bit...
Had a strange dream last night. I was in a club in England somewhere but talking to this American girl about Johnny Thunders! In reality I have seen him play at Max's Kansas City but in the dream we were waiting for him to play at that club. I wanted to tell her that he was dead, but did not want to disappoint her.

Mortality

There is one thing we know for certain when we are born and that is that we shall die. Perhaps we are not fully conscious of what the state of death is or life either for that matter. But we do know change is on the agenda. Change is a constant. Transformation.
When I hear that people very dear to me have died I am unable to fully process what that even means. It is difficult to understand the concept of death. It feels like an absence, a big void, and yet the memories and the sensations are so vivid, so alive if you like.
This year alone several very beloved friends have taken another path, that of not being concrete and material, but more astral. The latest I heard of today was Nan Hoover. Earlier in the year it was Eugenia Perpetua Butler and Arturo Vivante. We were still in the process of our mutual dialogue, the ongoing conversation we have with our friends through life. These were definitely left unfinished.
Mortality is such a shocking concept and yet why should it be!? Every day is about life and death. Every moment. We are dying all of us, everything which is alive is also dying. The surprise of it however when it happens is so real. Death is unexpected even when it is. It is still hard to understand what it is and why and how.
