Grindstugan Sinkan

This is Sinkan, a grindstuga, aka gatehouse. This beautiful photo was taken by Bengt Brown the previous tenant. The light is so autumnal and warm. I fell in love with Sinkan instantly.

I am back after a long long absence. For many reasons, some worth mentioning and others not. Most importantly however is that I feel I can come back and share again!

This hexagonal little yellow Mumin house will be visited in August and I shall finally get to see what it is really like and feel the presence of it. I am very excited about this new adventure.

I hope to welcome you to Sinkan, at least here on DJANG!

This list interests me for several reasons. One, it contains many names of artists I do not know... not surprising, but also it has omitted several important ones that should be included.

I shall explore the ones I do not know first on these pages e.g. Edith Rimmington, Nora Mitrani, Marcelle Ferry... Kati Horna is an omission as is Ilse Weber.

I found it through a book on this period and women's art.
